Cheap toys are great fun!!

We bought 2 Christmas headbands at Target a few weeks ago and they have become Marshall's favorite toys.. They were $1 a piece and money definitely well spent.
As you can see in the pictures he is goofy when he puts them on. He has also decided that he likes to close his eyes and laugh when mommy tries to take pictures of him.

Here we go!

Marshall has been taking steps here and there since his birthday but this weekend he has really been showing off. Good thing he is careful because we have hard tile floors!

Marshall was the cutest little bear for Halloween this year! We got to go to Birmingham and see Jonah and Kaleb all dressed up before they went out trick or treating. Kaine even had the music in his pocket for Jonah as he went to get some candy.
Marshall only got to go to a few houses because he passed out on the way back home from my brother's house! He was ready to hibernate for the night!

My new ride

Here is Marshall's new ride from Uncle Matt and Aunt Bett! He hasn't really learned how to turn it so we have been in the bushes and walls a few times. Guess I need to get him a helmet...

Eddie and Rebekkah's wedding!

Jim's buddy got married this past weekend and we went to North Carolina for the wedding. We went on an adventure flying with Marshall for the 1st time. He was so good on the airplane but it was definitely a chore taking all his stuff. Food, carseat cups and bottles..... ugh..
All the boys had a good time showing off all the babies as you can see. All of the pretty sunset pictures were taken at Eddie's new house. Marshall made a new friend while we were there. Marshall passed out on the way back to the hotel.

My baby is ONE!

Well.. The time came on October 1st 2009. My baby turned a year old! I was sad all week but then I realized that we had made it a whole year and he was healthy and growing strong. It really is hard to believe it has been a year because it seems like yesterday that I was panicking after being sent from the Dr.'s office to the hospital. Everything happens for a reason so that was God's timing for Marshall to be born. Jim and I have really been blessed with a great child and an amazing family! Thanks to all that could make it to the birthday party, it made our day to have friends and family to celebrate with us! We missed my brother and his family due to the flu but they are well and we will hopefully share a lot more birthdays with them! We love you all!

Marshall's first haircut!

Well.... My baby had his first haircut today and he was so good. I am sure he had no idea what was going on but that made for a better time. He made it out of there with NO tears but I on the other hand teared up a little and realized I was being ridiculous so I stopped. I just can't believe how much he is growing up.
He really liked the Corvette he was sitting in today and they also blew bubbles for him so of course he was entertained the whole time. I actually had to stand him up for the lady to cut the back of his hair. It was so long she couldn't get to it while he was sitting. :)
We survived today so I hope he does this good in the future!!

Early birthday present

This is Marshall's birthday present from us but he just happened to get it a little early. He has LOVED it! Although I have decided that I have a climber as you can see he goes over the front of it instead of the doors in the back. :) It is inflatable which was probably a mistake because it will probably be busted by his actual birthday? I know that boys are rough on toys but man.... We have had to rearrange lots of stuff because he is climbing on things onto other bigger things. (may I remind you that we have tile floor everywhere so climbing onto big things isn't the best thing to fall from) I can't believe that he is almost a year old. Where does the time go? I guess I will be pretty busy with this little monkey man for a good while!

1st Clemson game

Where to begin... We left the house early so that we could go see some friends. We got to see Mike and Meredith and little Addison. Marshall didn't know quite what to think of that sweet little girl. Marshall decided that he didn't need an afternoon nap so he made it until the game was about to start and then... Jim was carrying him and I was pushing the stroller back down the BIG hill to the car. By the time we were heading back up the BIG hill Marshall had fallen asleep. Jim was still carrying him dead weight and all. We got into the stadium and were sitting in the upper deck on row O so Jim still carrying the sleeping man was worn out by the time we got to our seats. Marshall slept for about 30 minutes tops and enjoyed about a quarter of the game and then we had to leave because of bedtime. All in all we had a great time in the heat but it sure was quite different having a baby to look after this year! :)

Our new house!!!!

Its still cluttered but we are making our way to getting stuff in order. We moved at the end of June and we just love our new house and are so proud of it! Marshall has finally getting the hang of tile flooring. He has had a few bumps on the noggin but he's ok.

Fun with Daddy!

First Beach Trip! 2009

Marshall had his first beach trip last month! He wasn't so much into the sand but he LOVED the pool. He splashed mommy and daddy in the face a whole bunch!

Father's Day

This was Jim's first official Father's Day this weekend and we made a last minute trip to Bham. I am so lucky to have such wonderful men in my life. Jim is the best daddy, friend, and husband I could ever ask for and I love him more and more everyday. He works so hard for us and I am so glad that he had a relaxing weekend lounging. Marshall loves him so much and it is so fun to watch them play together. I am sure that Marshall will want to be just like Jim when he is a little older.
My dad has always been special to me and I am thankful that he was chosen as mine. He has always been there for me through everything and I hope that he had a great Father's Day spending time with Marshall. Kaine (my bro) has 2 wonderful boys that are growing up way too fast. As you can see in the pictures, they did not want their pictures taken. Ha.. I just hope that they all had a special weekend and I love them all!
